Additional Materials.

We are also able to accept the following materials for recycling:
Tins and Cans.
Alu Pro - can collecter
Tins and cans can also be recycled with DCRP. Although they do not make up significant amount of office waste, staff who bring in canned drinks or lunch in cans (i.e. soup) should be encouraged to recycle them as a matter of good practice. At present DCRP do not offer any specific containers for the storage of cans (you may use a green box if you wish), although we do have contacts should you wish to purchase specific containers. The manufacturer is also able to personalise the boxes should you wish to order them in your corporate colours.

We do ask that any tins and cans presented to us are rinsed out (for hygiene purposes) and are stored in black plastic sacks to prevent leakage of any liquid remaining in the cans. Please ensure any bags are clearly labelled.

Steel and aluminium cans can be mixed in the same container, as they are mechanically separated once back on site.

Mobile Phones.

Old mobile phones are sent away to be recycled. If they are still in working condition, they are refurbished and given to those in need, inparticular countries such as Africa where they form vital communication links. If the phone is beyond repair, it will be taken apart and the individual components recycled and disposed of responsibly.

We will collect any type of phone, no matter how old. Please ensure all phones are clearly labelled and safely packaged to avoid damage. We do not require chargers or accessories such as handsfree kits.

Inkjet Printer Cartridges.

Inkjet Printer Cartridges can also be collected as part of the business collection. Please ensure that each cartridge is packaged securely to prevent it from getting damaged in transit and also to prevent leakage. We will only accept original manufacturers cartridges, re-filled cartridges cannot be accepted as we cannot guarantee the quality of the ink that may be remaining in them. Please return any aftermarket cartridges back to your supplier who will refill them for you.

We can also accept toner cartridges from laser printers, although we cannot accept toner bottles from photocopiers.
