Environmental Policy Statement
 
In pursuing its aim/mission DCRP Limited is committed to and accepts its responsibilities in contributing towards improvement in environmental quality. The Company has the potential to impact on the environment directly through its daily operations, and indirectly through its work in the promotion and training of staff and volunteers.
 
It is the policy of DCRP Limited to strive towards sustainable development.  Through its operations it will endeavour to use all practicable means to improve environmental quality, and mitigate the direct and indirect negative environmental impact of its operations.

To meet the needs of its environmental policy, DCRP Limited has the following environmental goals:
 
Resource Efficiency - Minimise the use of materials (including paper, water etc) and energy, and to exercise high standards of energy management.
 
Waste/Minimisation - Minimise and manage the production and disposal of waste.  Dispose of unavoidable waste with regard to duty of care, to minimise environmental impact.  Account to be taken of the waste management hierarchy; reduce, re-use and recycle.
 
Use of Sustainable Products - Give preference to the use and purchase of recycled and recyclable materials, and include environmental considerations in the design criteria for all products, packaging and services.  Take account of toxic or hazardous substances in all products used.
 
Minimise the Environmental Impacts of Harmful Chemicals - Minimise the use of artificial chemicals and disinfectants and maximise the use of natural control methods.
 
Transport Efficiency - Promote the use of public transport and minimise the use of private vehicles for travel to work and business purposes.  When public transport is not practicable, the use of fuel-efficient vehicles will be encouraged.
 
 
Environmentally Focused - Take account of Government advice on protecting the environment, Air quality and climate change measures.
 
Supply Chain Management - factors within the process of procuring products and services by the Company, including the manner in which we accept contractors and sub-contractors to operate.
 
Environmental Stewardship   Include in company decision making and business planning of environmental impacts.  This involves ensuring that the work undertaken contributes towards, and the organisations worked with are committed to, environmentally sustainable development.
 
Estate Management - Ensure that assets owned by the Company do not pose a threat environmentally to others, and to exercise building research best practice when planning new premises or alterations to existing buildings.
 
Employee Training - Encourage, educate and motivating staff to work in an environmentally responsible manner, and to play a full part in the development of new ideas and initiatives.
 
 
 
Environmental Performance - Communicate regularly with stakeholders those people who affect or are affected by DCRP Ltd's activity.
 
Continuous Improvement With Stakeholders - The Company is committed to a programme of continual assessment of the environmental impacts, including setting realistic targets.
